Outdoor NOTL Wedding
Heading to Jon and Lesley’s outdoor NOTL wedding was an adventure for sure. We wondered for a moment if we’d even make it as smoke billowed out of the hood of our van! SOOO not good! We had many kind folks point out to us along the streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake that our van was smoking. Um, hello people, we know… visibility is almost non-existent!! We managed to coast into the parking lot of the Prince of Wales, virtually right across the street from our starting location at the Flynn House. Thankfully, we were early as normal, and we had just enough time to arrange a tow and a second team of backup peeps to bring us some fresh wheels for the day. We did have to cart the entire contents of our van around with us (just in case we needed something) all day but I don’t even know if Jon was aware when we showed up with our lunch pails! Thanks for choosing such a helpful wedding party who kindly chauffeured us around until our backup vehicle arrived! That was the craziest start to a wedding day ever!
But as soon as we walked into the Flynn house, we forgot our woes and got all caught up in the action. From the moment we met Jon and Lesley, we were fired up for their wedding and it certainly didn’t disappoint! And with a venue like Kurtz Orchards, you really just can’t go wrong. These two are crazy about each other, love the “details” and know how to have a good time. BAM! Wedding magic people! Lesley chose Peaks on Gate as her getting-ready location – another sweet rental home with fabulous light. You gotta do it right, people! C’mon now.
Add in a breezy ceremony in the pear orchard, and big promises by Lesley about not leaving the breakfast knife covered in peanut butter, and you’ve got yourself a perfectly “Pin-able” wedding!
