It was 4:30 in the morning and I was wide awake. This is definitely not typical for me as sleeping is my gift. I spent the next 90 minutes desperately trying to get back to sleep to no avail.
I noticed that it was unusually bright at 6 am. I guess it may always be that bright this early, but for me it’s a time of day I rarely see. Anyways… the light seeping through the blinds was glowing with this soft radiance and just beckoning me to leave the comfort of my couch (no I wasn’t in the dog house, just couldn’t sleep, remember?). I answered this strange call and made my way over to the window and opened the blinds. And BAM! There it was… the most marvellous fog was rolling through our property. This fog was misty, hazy, beautiful and thick. So thick that you could barely see the forest behind our home. Well it didn’t take long before I was making me a home-made hot cocoa in my special mug (that sounded geeky) and grabbing my camera bag. It was time to go for a drive and explore.
Ok, so that was a long intro to basically say I couldn’t sleep, so I went for a drive and here are a few frames. haha
I don’t usually photograph horses. In fact I never have before, but I was for the first time awestruck by their magnificence. Maybe I will try it again soon.
